Letters are published rapidly after acceptance in a separately paginated section of the journal and appear online only.

They are published within 30 days of receipt of the final manuscript files in the production office, and linked immediately into the NASA ADS.

Errata are short corrections to papers which have previously been published in MNRAS.

Errata may only be submitted by the authors of the original paper, and should be used to correct errors which may lead to significant misunderstandings or incorrect conclusions. There is no charge for submitting a paper to MNRAS.

Assessment of whether papers fall within this scope is made by the members of the editorial board, who will reject papers which are not on suitable topics.
